Built way back in 1909, the “Desanka Maksimović” Primary School is one of the oldest and largest schools on the territory of Banja Luka. It is located in the Dragočaj settlement and is currently attended by about 450 students.

This school is 112 years old and the ravages of time have taken their toll. Little was invested in the school, so students and teaching staff encountered various difficulties in the education process over the years. The management of the school turned to EKI for a donation in the form of the purchase of props for the needs of conducting physical education classes, because with the limited funds at their disposal, they were not able to provide adequate sports equipment.

One of EKI’s values ​​that we put a lot of effort into is active participation in improving the living conditions of our fellow citizens, especially children. We listened to the problem of the students of this school, as well as the desire to make their physical education classes as diverse and high-quality as possible, and we provided funds for the purchase of the equipment they needed.

Despite the adversity, the children from Dragočaj represent their school in the best possible way, achieving great results at municipal and regional competitions and winning various medals. They certainly deserved all the help and support.
