EKI donation to the Association "Rastimo zajedno" (Growing Together), Gacko

The Association of Parents and Friends of Children with Special Needs "Rastimo zajedno" has been in existence for more than twenty years and operates in the municipality of Gacko. Throughout this time, association members have dedicated themselves to creating and improving conditions, as well as implementing various types of assistance to children and youth with developmental challenges.

Although the Association was established in 2002, it wasn't until 2008 that the municipality of Gacko decided to organize a Center for Children with Special Needs, under which they operate today. The primary activity of the Center is the prevention, monitoring, and detection of children with developmental challenges. In addition, they are involved in diagnostics, counseling, individual and group work with center users, nutrition, daily care, educational work, and social integration of users. Considering the time spent here and the effort to ensure that all activities are regularly carried out, it is an understatement to say that this space is a second home for both users and association members.

We wanted to become part of this ongoing struggle and, within our capabilities, help and facilitate the work and stay for everyone using this space. We hope to have achieved this once again with an EKI donation, which included the procurement of furniture they needed. Four wardrobes, a chest of drawers, and a sofa were purchased and immediately put into use after delivery.

We hope that this donation will be beneficial to the members and users of the Association, making their stay more comfortable and pleasant, as many of them rightfully consider this space their second home.
