Donation to the Primary School “Vuk Karadžić” in Petrovo, Doboj

Education in the Petrovo region has a rich history and dates back to 1894, when the first primary school was opened in the area of ​​Porječina, which is considered to be the oldest school at the Mount Ozren region. Today, the regional departments from Porječina and Krtova belong to the main Primary School “Vuk Karadžić”. It is an educational institution attended by students from the municipality of Petrovo. This school, together with its regional departments, is attended by 178 students. In the regional classes, students can attend classes until the fifth grade, and after its completion, they continue their education at the main school in Petrovo.

Due to the lack of quality sports equipment, the conditions for conducting physical training education classes were quite difficult and bad. The objective of the school management and the reason for their request for help submitted to EKI, was to strengthen the important role of sports and to show the contribution of sports to the mental and physical development of students through various sports activities, in addition to daily performance of regular teaching process.

EKI’s contribution to this school was the donation of props and sports equipment. The donation consisted of: volleyball, basketball, handball and football balls, tug of war rope, volleyball and goal nets, women’s and men’s jerseys, medical balls, etc.

The Scholl Principal sincerely thanked for the donation and pointed out that the new sports equipment will significantly improve the performance of physical training education classes.
