EKI Donation to the “Milja Đukanović” Kindergarten, Mrkonjić Grad

In the very heart of Mrkonjić Grad, where children’s laughter, curious glances, and first steps into the world intertwine every day, stands the “Milja Đukanović” Kindergarten. It is not just an ordinary building—it is a place where around 300 children of different ages create their very first memories each day. As the only institution of its kind in the town, the kindergarten continues to grow alongside the needs of the community, constantly upgrading and expanding in order to provide a welcoming home for every child who walks through its doors. For this reason, every new toy and every detail that enriches the space carries special value.

The kindergarten is renovated exclusively with funds from the municipal budget, but the donation of toys and strip curtains came as a warm gesture of support from the EKI Microcredit Organization—at just the right moment and with sincere intention. The donation did more than enhance the space; it brought a sense that someone sees, recognizes, and appreciates the effort invested in the youngest members of the community. Its significance is multifaceted. The children gained a safer, more comfortable, and more joyful environment for play and development, while the staff gained the opportunity to perform their work with greater quality, motivation, and smiles.

Today, at the “Milja Đukanović” Kindergarten, it is not only children who are growing—hope, togetherness, and faith in a better future are growing as well.
